Tank Tables

There are three tank tables: one for the miscellaneous tanks, one for the cargo tanks and one for the ballast tanks. In the automatic (standard) mode only the miscellaneous tanks are editable. In the conventional mode all tank tables are editable. You can see if a tank table is editable or not by the "% Full" column which is displayed by a number when the list is editable and displayed by a (progress)bar when the table is not editable

To edit a cell double click on a cell. For the change to take effect please leave the cell. Please note that only the volume, density, % full, weight and ullage column are editable. Each table consists of the following columns:

Compartment

Holds the name of the compartment.

Volume (m3)

Specify the exact volume of the load. The percentage full and the weight will be automatically adjusted. If the volume exceeds the maximum volume the value will be changed back to the original value if you leave the cell.

Density (t/m3)

Specify the density of the load.

% Full

Specify the percentage of how full the compartment is. This value has to vary between 0 and 100. The volume and weight will be adjusted automatically. This value can be adjusted using the spinner, but it is also possible to type in the value yourself.

Weight (t)

Specify the weight of the load. The percentage full and the volume will be adjusted automatically. If the volume is exceeding the maximum volume, the weight will return to the original value.

Ullage (m)

Specify the ullage of the tank. The percentage full and the volume will be adjusted automatically. The minimum ullage is 0 meters.

VCG (m)

Vertical center of gravity of the tank. This value will be updated when the volume in the tank changes. You cannot edit this cell yourself.

LCG (m)

Longitudinal center of gravity of the tank. This value will be updated when the volume in the tank changes. You cannot edit this cell yourself.

TCG (m)

Transversal center of gravity of the tank. This value will be updated when the volume in the tank changes. You cannot edit this cell yourself.

FSM (t.m)

The free surface moment created by the volume in the tank. This value will be updated when the volume in the tank changes. You cannot edit this cell yourself.

Max. %

Defines how much of the total tank volume may be used. This value will determine the max tank volume.

Max. Volume (m3)

The maximum volume a tank can hold. This value is a constant. You cannot edit this cell yourself.

The cargo tank table also has an extra column:

Cargo id

Indicates the cargo id of the load in the tank. This column can be edited when in conventional mode.
